After what seemed like a long silence, leaving fans wondering where she has been, female rap star, Splash, is ready to set a new standard for female emcees on the Nigeria music scene.
Splash who’s first single was Church Agbasa, is set to make a fresh statement with her follow up single titled Ego Uwa which was dropped on 6 March.
“I stepped off the scene for a bit to work on myself. Now I’m back to give my fans something fresh, deep and of course good music as usual,” Splash said.
She added that Ego Uwa which literally means ‘the world’s money’ is a feel good music, with a socially relevant message.
Known for her lyrical depth, and smooth blend of Igbo language in her songs, Splash went on a break to work on her art.
She also took some time to handle some business. She moved base from her former label, the HMan-led August Pee Entertainment to join Brodock Music Group, home to the young talented kid, Vito.
The new song’s video will also be on air in about two weeks time. It was shot on location in South Africa by Godfather Production.
