3 years after, fresh facts are emerging about the real cause of the Mo’hits break up. In a recent interview with Olisa Adibua‘s ‘The Truth,’ D’banj has dropped a name other than that of Don Jazzy for the first time while talking about the dissolution of the hugely successful record label. Recall that the disbandment of one of Africa’s best music formations, Mo’Hits Records occurred in April 2012 when ace producer, Don Jazzy and D’banj decided to go their separate ways. Although the matter became quite messy with leaked emails showing how the cookies crumbled, attempts to dig deeper into the real cause of the break up have yielded little or no fruit since then. That is until now that D’Banj is ready to spill the beans more In the snippet of the interview that has gone viral online, Olisa asked D’banj the real cause of the Mo’hits break-up, and in his response, D’banj said: ‘If I would really be truthful, the first person that broke up Mo’hits is Dr Sid.’ In an interview with The Sun in November 2014, Dr Sid had been quoted sa saying: ‘We are not missing D’banj, no, not at all. He is doing well and he has gone on to drop a couple of hits and same goes for Mavin. We have dominated the last 2 years of Nigerian music no doubt, so we are also doing well.’ With the latest bombshell from D’Banj, who was one of the two primary actors in the saga, there is surely an interesting twist in the tale….
